My Favourite Film: The Goonies

En muchísimas ocasiones, bueno, vamos a ser sinceras. Siempre que me pongo delante de un folio en blanco, en mis exámenes de inglés, me vengo abajo completamente. No es la primera vez que si tengo que escoger entre varios temas, preparo uno y a la mitad del examen, cambio de opinión y vuelvo a empezar de cero con otro totalmente opuesto... que no tengo muy claro como defender y que además voy con la mitad de tiempo.. pero bueno.. esa es mi "cruz".

Pero la semana pasada... por una vez y sin que sirva de precedente.. lo tuve claro. "Writing a review about your favourite film"... Ni una sola duda. Y no sólo eso.. si no que además me salió mejor de lo que pensaba.. y puede decirse que una de las mejores (sin errores quiero decir) que he hecho. Tanto.. que creo que se merece una entradilla en mi blog. Porque sí. Para animarme a mi misma.... es lo que hay.

No sólo porque la película se lo merezca... QUE SE LO MERECE.. si no porque es buena desde principio a fin... sin olvidarnos de parte de su banda sonora... que es... buenísima. Me gusta tanto o más que la película.

The Goonies is an American adventure-comedy film, directed by Richard Donner together Steven Spielberg who wrote the story for a screenplay by Chris Columbus in 1985.

The film is set in “Goon Docks” neighborhood where a group of friends called themselves “The Goonies” expend the last weekend living there. A foreclosure on their families’ houses will be done from expanding Astoria Country Club and their houses will be a Golf Club.

The story begins on a rainy Autumn evening. Mikey (the main protagonist), spends the time with his friends and his big brother at home. While they were gossiping in the attic, they find an old newspaper clipping a spanish map relating to a rumor of a lost pirate treasure, somewhere in the area, and an old gold dubloon, that leads them on an adventure to unearth the long-lost fortune “One-Eyed Willie” a Legendary 17th century pirate.

The Goonies decided to look the treasure and perhaps if it is true, they will solve the economic problems for their families or.. live their last adventure together.

The trip will bring them exciting adventures unearth, run away from pirate traps, and the Fratelli Family, an Italian family of gangsters who want the treasure too.

Although it is quite a predictable story or maybe a bit children’s film, the plot is absolutely entertaining and amusing. I really like it and enjoy a lot with all the adventures on it. Perhaps every boy and girl from the 80s has a “Goonie” still alive inside, and about it, “The Goonies” is considered one of the Classical Cult film from the 80s.
